Please find below the latest Ward Crime Update:
Notes:
- Burglary Residential (2) – Locations are Pool & Bramhope. No apparent links between offences, as the method of entry is different, different target items, locations are not close geographically. The only relevant crime prevention advice would be generalised home security advice such as upgrading locks & adding CCTV/lighting.
- Other Theft (1) – Civil dispute between parties known to each other. No relevant crime prevention advice.
- Theft from Motor Vehicle (4) – 1 vehicle confirmed to have been left unlocked & 2 other vehicles entered by unknown means, possibly left unlocked. The remaining vehicle was a food delivery van which was opened by damaging the door locks and food items stolen from within. Crime prevention advice would be to ensure any keyless vehicles’ keys are kept in faraday pouch/boxes and no valuables are left on show. I’ve attached a relevant crime prevention leaflet.
- Theft of Motor Vehicle (1) – Theft of a Ford Transit without using the keys. This would indicate it was stolen by exploiting the keyless entry system. Please pass the attached leaflet out on social media/your website to residents to raise awareness.
