Zebra Crossing

Please find below and attached information I have received from the Highways Engineer in response to a request for a pedestrian crossing on Long Causeway near to the junction with St. Helens Lane:

"Dear Cllr Anderson,

Thank you for your patience whilst this pedestrian crossing assessment has been carried out.

At this time, I can confirm we cannot recommend the introduction of a controlled crossing such as a zebra crossing, as the location has not met the necessary criteria. I attach a copy of the assessment carried out accordingly. In summary, the location does not see particularly high levels of pedestrians crossing the road and with no existing traffic collisions here that would require us to prioritise this location, it does not reach the requisite scoring level.

I am sorry this outcome could not be more positive but I trust this information is of use to you at this time."
