Welcome to Leeds Libraries' newsletter
Hello and welcome to an extra special newsletter for The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
There's lots going on across our Libraries and Community Hubs, with events taking place in the run up and over the Jubilee weekend (2-5 June).
In addition to the Leeds programme of Jubilee events we are really pleased to be sharing the regional activities that Books Up North has curated for the Libraries Connected Yorkshire and Humber partnership. We look forward to celebrating with you all!

Share your memories of the Queen on the Leodis archive
We're creating an archive of your memories and photos of the Queen here in Leeds. You can share anything - from anecdotes about past Royal visits, street parties, or preparations for this year's Platinum Jubilee. Head over to Leodis to view the gallery and get involved!.
Join our Jubilee-themed Library socials
Our social events are the perfect opportunity to meet others in your community and enjoy activities at your local library. Our first session will celebrate The Queen's Jubilee with a chance to look at photographs from the Leodis archives and share your pictures or memories of the Queen in Leeds.
Socials will be taking place at Libraries across the city, find one near you here.
Bunting workshops
It wouldn't be a Jubilee without bunting! Come along to your local library to customise a flag with words, images, sequins, and buttons to incorporate into an extra special community bunting to display at the library. Materials will be provided but you're welcome to bring along your own items to upcycle too. Find drop-in sessions at your nearest library here.

A Big Jubilee Read Booklist has been produced by the Reading Agency which celebrates 70 books written by authors from across the Commonwealth, 10 books for each decade of the Queen’s reign.
